i know defusing is better but why not just detonate it by shooting at it or even driving a remote controlled car with a little explosive on it to trigger the bigger explosive?    |

how about flying a small RC drone up to it and dousing it with powerful acid of some sort, and in the course of a few hrs the fuse/wires/bomb casing might be safely disabled....  |

We have machines that do nearly everything we need done in the world nowadays... Yet one of the easiest things to accomplish is making a bomb go "BOOM" and we do not use machines for that. Get the damn robots out and let them detonate the damn bombs!
