Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
I see 4 or more murderers with tactical weapons take on a moron with some pocket knives. But the law says its ok, so it's ok right? TO KILL SOMEONE??? America |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
My point is. In a so called "free society" no one should have the legal right to kill someone on the spot, without a trial because they did not comply with a command. Fucking simple. Again, killing was the only option was it? |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
What's funny is everyone saying shit like this only happens in America...the police do this in every country, and in some it doesn't even take a deadly weapon like a knife to provoke them to do it.

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
Where is that written? I mean, I'm only a simple cop, but where does it say that, "...in a free society no one should have the legal right to kill someone"? Is that a constitutional quote or is it written in small print in the law somewhere. I'm sorry, but unless you discussing some type of conservative religious philosophy, then I'm not sure where that statement comes from. If you are very religious, then I completely understand your feelings and I won't belabor them, but...if your just saying that in a make believe pie in the sky utopia society that will never exist no matter how much we want it to, then you need to wake up. It's wonderful to have dreams, but don't judge others by your utopia ideals and hopes. I'm not a real smart guy, I just worked a long time in a business where I saw a lot of death, pain, fear, stupidity, helplessness. I don't tend to look at the world as I'd like it to be, but rather how it is...in other words, I'm just not an idealist, I've just seen too much. I just don't understand you...I don't say that to be mean, but I really don't understand. Wouldn't it be nice if no one ever needed to kill anyone ever again? Of course it would. Will that day ever come? Absolutely not. I live in the real world with real people filled with many folks who, for whatever reason, just love to hurt each other. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Unless someone comes up with a 100% reliable less lethal device that works on everyone all the time, then a gun is going to be the most common protection device we have. And we all know that a gun, in the right hands, can kill you quite effectively. So what solution to shooting bad guys do you propose? Plenty of people have the legal right to kill someone in any society. |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
That last sentence is absolute rubbish. I'm not religious in the slightest. Yes I'm probably being too idealistic. I've lived 41 years in a society where cops kill as a last resort. Because they are about to REALLY be attacked with a weapon. They use tazers, foam , sprays, dogs, and most importantly time . I don't want to see cops killed. I want serious murderers , rapists and pedos killed. Why do Dahmer , Bundy and a thousand other killers get trials and due justice, but a drug fucked moron with a knife gets killed on the spot? |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
I think you just answered your own question. None of those you named above had a knife in their hands threatening the police when they were arrested. Dahmer's arrest: Unarmed. Bundy's arrest: Unarmed. |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
Ok, now I understand...I still think you're still full of shit, but at least I understand why you feel the way you do. Why didn't you just explain it that way in the first place instead of calling the police murderers? I'd try to explain the folly of your opinion from first hand experience, but it would be a waste of time and either you or a few select others would make fun of me and call me names...and that's ok...it's the Internet, everyone does it. I actually feel a little sorry for you...not because you disagree with me, but because you'll never actually put yourself in a position to make those difficult decisions about life and death and be judged by others. Along with all the bad things cops deal with and see, at least we know we tried to do something. In spite of all the "armchair experts" (and it's not just you by any means) there are still people who daily put on a uniform and put themselves in those dangerous situations for the safety and betterment of a community. You have the luxury of living in fantasyland because others protect you and willingly make those difficult life and death decisions, knowing full well that they'll be judged by others that have no idea what their talking about. Folks like you have no idea what it's like to actually be the guy forced by other's actions to make that fateful decision to fire a weapon. Knowing fully that you're either going to seriously injure or kill another living person. And that's good, that's how it's supposed to work, you shouldn't have any idea...that's why we have police officers. It's ironic, but you have the freedom to judge and ridicule the police for using deadly force, because at some point a solider (by killing an oppressor) used deadly force to protect/secure your right to free speech. So please, all the naysayers, judge on, but know that your right to bitch was secured by police at the community level and soliders at the national level. |

Re: Police Kill Man for Illegally Camping
Unless people like this really do have their heads so far up their asses and truly believe that their own prejudicial nonsense are based off of facts, then it is a hopeless cause trying to explain that to them. I don't think this is the case here however. I think most of these guys are trolls instigating arguements to validate their own beliefs and attitudes of what they think about America even if the majority of them have never been here. |
