Police Carries Out Operation and Kills Members of a Criminal Organization
The Civil Police of Rio Grande do Norte, through the 73ª Civil Police Station (73ª DP) broke out, on the morning of Wednesday (05), in the municipalities of Umarizal and Viçosa, the "Operation Safe Hawk", which aimed to dismantle the performance of a criminal organization responsible for the practice of crimes of homicide, drug trafficking and robberies Two people were arrested in the act and two men died after an armed confrontation with police officers in a forest area in the municipality of Viçosa. The operation was supported by the Military Police of RN and the Potiguar 01 aircraft, from the Integrated Air Operations Center (CIOPAER), from the Secretariat of Public Security of RN. The name of the operation is an allusion to the name in which the city of Umarizal was initially named: "Hawk", due to part of the lands belonging to Father João de Paiva, located at the source of the Hawk creek. Police in Brazil are the worst in all of Latin America. I do not believe any official information from their agencies. Temporarily living in Brazil, taught me that police kill people like there is no tomorrow. Sadly, I was more afraid of the police than the criminals.  |
