Are we watching the same video here? Because I feel like we're not looking at the same thing. That was clearly an accident. She did not even have enough time to think about killing herself. Everybody can see that she went to pick up the gun and put her finger on the trigger again. You know how those type of guns are, you barely need a half a pound of pressure on the trigger before it goes off. Clearly she wasn't taught anything about gun safety at all. But I still feel like I can clearly see that the second shot is an accident.

Part of me prefers to think that because the alternative is so dark I’ve been actually thinking about this video nonstop.

I don’t think that’s necessary since it was an accident and they already went through enough trauma looking at this video.

Otherwise you set a dangerous precedent that anyone who dies near you could be you getting charged.

This is fucking terrible. And I don't know how to put this exactly, I'm sure the family is horrified that this was recorded on IG live. But if it hadn't been recorded..they would have wondered how it happened and what caused the first shot ..then the second. They would have been wondering the rest of their lives how this accident occurred

If I just killed my cousin on accident, the last thing I'd want to do is pick the gun up again right after that. She was old enough to realize what guns do when they go off, I think she realized he was dead. She didn't have long enough to think about killing herself, you're right. She didn't think about it, it was a split second reaction to decide to shoot herself. The second shot was intentional. If you accident shoot someone and kill them it makes no sense to immediately pick the gun up again unless you're planning to turn it on yourself
