My first lesson to my kids always assume the gun is loaded and never put the finger on trigger unless you will shoot.

As a Brit I don’t understand the need to have guns on such a big level. If the bad people don’t have guns then the good people don’t need them. We do have some gun related crimes here but it’s so minimal we don’t need to teach our children gun safety. I feel bad because two kids are dead because someone gave them a gun. The boy was obviously in that lifestyle but the picture is bigger, there shouldn’t be any need for kids to be involved in guns, violence, crimes ect. |

Longer version. I believe her finger grazed the trigger and it felt "firm" so she thought it was on safety. "it's on..." You can see the moment the thought enters her head before the bullet enters his. |
