Re: Police Body Cam Footage of Fatal Shooting 20 Year-old Dillon Taylor
Claret all over the shop. America is fucked up. In the UK the coppers would just take our their batons and give him a shoeing. No need to use lethal force just because he wouldn't get his hands out of his pockets. If the "perp" (was he actually a perpetrator?) somehow managed to pull a 9mm out of his jeans pocket (fuck me, it'd have to be a small gun) then I'm sure the police officer could've dropped him before he brought the gun up into an aiming position. American policing = lazy and cowardly.

I don't blame the cop at all. The guy was a mindf*cker, but the cop wanted to not be killed in the line of duty. Clownboy played a Stupid Game and he won a Stupid Prize. The world is better off without him. Too bad the officer is going to have to go through so much hassle because of some low life mindf*cker. |

Re: Police Body Cam Footage of Fatal Shooting 20 Year-old Dillon Taylor
No one ever listens to me, but that was a good shoot. No law or policy violated. The officer got a call of gangsters with a firearm, they responded, this idiot decides to walk away with his hands in his pant's pockets. The officers approach, give very clear commands, the idiot fails to comply and smarts off, then the idiot moves just like he's drawing a firearm, the officer fires two shots and kills him. Oh well...let this be a lesson, comply with the officer's instructions and stop acting like an asshole gangster. It's a good shoot...I seen this done quite a few times and there is no violation. As I've said time and again, if the officer honestly feels that his life or the life of another is in imminent life threatening danger, then the shoot is good. Clearly by the video recording...the officer felt he was in immediate life threatening danger...end of story. Now if you would like to know...a civil lawsuit will win hands down and more than likely will never go to court. Of course it could be argued that the officer should have used less lethal force...but, don't forget, the call involved a firearm. A lot of DR members act as if officers roamed the countryside shooting taxpayers willy nilly for no reason at all. If all you use to judge that is what's posted here on DR, then I can see why you think that way. But the number of unarmed individuals shot by officers throughout the US is incredibly small. It's a statistical anomaly. Think about this...how many of you are regularly stopped and questioned by officers? How many of you are stopped and questioned by officers once a year? How many of you have ever been stopped and questioned by officers in your entire life? Generally, at least in the US and Canada, you really have to work at even being contacted by an officer, let alone being shot or subdued by one. Hell, I bet many of you, if even stopped, don't get a traffic citation unless you really had it coming. This asshole was drunk (twice the legal limit), a known gangster, dressed in the gangster uniform of the day, refused to comply with the officer's repeated instructions, and finally moved just like he was drawing a firearm. Damn...he really worked at getting himself killed. How many of you have done that to that absurd degree? Is anyone here really that stupid? Look at all these police use of force/deadly force incidents. Look how hard these idiots work at messing with the cops...they generally go way way out of their way. Why chance it? Shut up, do as you're told, if you feel persecuted then file a complaint...it's just that simple.

I don't think the guy deserved to die, but why why why why don't you just comply? What makes someone think that by challenging a cop good or bad is going to end in a good way?

Re: Police Body Cam Footage of Fatal Shooting 20 Year-old Dillon Taylor
Bad shooting, period! He shot an unarmed man and he had plenty of time to wait and see if he had a gun. Pistol already drawn and all you have to do wait until is grabs his gun or at the very least, see something shine. That was bullshit!

Re: Police Body Cam Footage of Fatal Shooting 20 Year-old Dillon Taylor
Again...based on what? Your vast experience as a police officer? As a bad guy? Based on what? Here's an idea...why don't you watch what happens in this case. Research it and report back what you find...then tell us all what you found out. That way...when I'm wrong, I can tell everyone here on DR that I didn't know what I was talking about...and you...yes you, had the correct answer all along. Just think how good that will make you feel and how vindicated you'll be. Wow...the anti-police crowd will have won a major victory. Just imagine how wonderful that'll be...everyone will be sooo proud of you. |
