Actually, the whole "head between your legs thing" is aimed more so at killing you instantly by snapping your neck. That way there's no chance for survivors to sue the airline company. Can't recall where I saw this, it was in an airline documentary revealed by some high up airline owners tho. But long story short, when the plane hits the ground, it lunges you forward into the seat in front of you snapping your neck an killing you instantly.    |

It has actually been studied and shown that in survivable plane crashes, the people who brace for impact receive less serious injuries than those who don't. I would cite all the data, but I figure you can just do a little research yourself and easily debunk your own claim.
