Plain Clothed Police Officer Shoot and Kills a Gas Station Robber
A robber was killed after being shot by a plain clothed police officer during attempted robbery at a convenience store at a gas station late on Friday (8), north coast of São Paulo, Brazil. According to the Military Police, the occurrence was recorded at around 20h20 when two armed criminals entered the station convenience store with the intention to rob it. An officer of the 2nd Capital Shock Battalion, arrived at the station to pump gas into his car and witnessed the robbery scene and came into action trying to arrest the robbers. After the approach, the suspects disrespected the officer who fired at them. One of the robbers, who was also armed, died instantly. The second suspect was shot in the leg but managed to escape. The victim's body was sent to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) of the city. Soon after the incident, police also raided the area in an attempt to find the fugitive - but without success. Police said the robbers already had previous convictions for robbery in the city. |
