Re: Pitbull Attack Turns Floor into a Pool of Blood
It came from the pound. Are you only defending well-bred pitbulls? I have no problem with any breed of dog that was thoughtfully bred for good temperaments through several generations, but most pits are not these days. Maybe at one time they where. It is possible that pits found at the pound, which are most of the pits Ive known, have dogs that where bred for fighting characteristics. If I knew of a pitbull that I knew came from a breeder that say used family friendly lines like the dog from little rascals and had a website toting her dogs great temperaments I would probably feel safe around it.

Re: Pitbull Attack Turns Floor into a Pool of Blood
To be honest, I'm not defending any breed of dog. The dog doesn't cause the problems, it is the person who owns it. I will say this though, when you hear about a pitbull that attacked someone, they never know what bloodline it came from, the owners says it was always a good dog, and it just snapped, and shit like that. To my experience, people who get them and do not bother to research them first are going to have problems. You can get a poodle and raise it to be agressive, and it will be. The main difference is that poodles weigh much less, and are nowhere near as strong. Some people get two pits to breed simply for money, and do not care about the dogs, only their proffits. And it happens much more than you would think. They take good care of the pups up to a certain age, then sell them, all the while they keep inbreeding the pups and do not bother to tell anyone. Situations like that make up 98 % of pitbull attacks. |
