Pitbulls were bred to fight. Hardly anyone should own one, and those that do should be held responsible for everything the dog does. Banning them is asinine. They are great dogs for hog hunting, and they do make excellent pets in the right hands. Old ladies, kids, and weak men should never come close to a pitbull, let alone owning one and calling it a pibble. Fuckwads everywhere.

Pretty much none of the dogs are "natural". They have all been bread for one purpose or another.
A quick copy paste of a quote about pitbulls:

Breeders made conscious decisions to breed Pit Bull Terriers with many of the characteristics Pit Bull owners love today. They were bred selectively and culled if they showed characteristics that were unfavorable.

For example, if a Pit Bull bit a human, culling usually took place and it wasn’t used for breeding.

This is due to the fact that Pit Bull owners had to be able to enter the pit in order to handle their dogs and, of course, they did not want to receive a bite in the process!

So, as is with most dogs( and animals in general ) if you dont train them and dont get them accustomed to humans, they can become dangerous. Pit bulls are protectors and a good family should never be afraid of their own Pit bull( others/intruders...sure ).

I've friends who have had dogs all their lives and one thing is common - mistreat the dog and it will mistreat you or other people. Treat them well and they are your best friend.
Pit bulls are also used as service dogs, working for police, chasing down drugs or other contraband.

Pitbull owner here. I agree that pit bulls are dangerous. Mine is loving and affectionate, but I’ve seen her ferocity many times. She snaps and becomes a monster when it comes to protecting me. She will attack my other dog if he growls while we’re playing. She tries to attack my neighbors dogs if they bark at me. She doesn’t quit until she’s dragged away from the threat. She would most likely die for me if it came down to it. It’s deeply imbedded in her brain. My other dog is a shepherd mix and he came with some fierce tendencies too but is much easier to train and control. The pitbull on the other hand cannot have that aggressiveness trained out of her. I don’t trust her and I keep her away from small children and animals.
