26/02/2011 Afghanistan, A suicide attack left 3 people dead and injured 38 in the Faryab province.
The victims were all Afghani civilians.
Witnesses told local police a boy, under the age of sixteen was responsible for the deadly attack.
The suicide attack occurred around 1 pm local time, during a (a local horse racing sport) at Boz Kashee playground.
2 men and 1 child were killed during the incident, which injured an additional 38 others attending the event.
Six men injured were in extremely serious condition, and will need to be evacuated to the ISAF Hospital in Maiamana City.
Witnesses reported seeing the suicide bomber, and ran prior to detonation of the device.
Actions of this nature are against the Islamic religion, and do not reflect the normal religious life of peaceful Muslims in Afghanistan.
Police attempted to fire upon the suicide attacker unfortunately, the 16-year-old detonated himself before the police could land a deadly shot.
Over the past month, more than 120 persons have been killed and approximately 300 persons injured during suicide attacks in Afghanistan.
