The tyre of a tow truck, driven by 38-year-old Ahmet T. (pictured), burst whilst he was driving on the highway. After Ahmet pulled into the emergency lane and called for assistance, another tow truck, driven by Recep C., arrived at the scene.

At that moment, a pickup, driven by 25-year-old Mohammed S., swerved into the emergency lane to avoid a truck ahead and crashed into both vehicles. Due to the severity of the impact, a car that was on the tow truck and the drivers of the vehicles were thrown onto the road.

Ahmet succumbed to his injuries, while Recep remains in critical condition. Mohammed was found to be intoxicated, and he was detained.
