Re: Philippines - Dumping Man's Body from a Van in the Road
MANILA, Philippines Unidentified men on board a white van were seen abandoning a dead body along a street in Paco, Manila on Tuesday, police reported on Wednesday. In a report from the National Capital Region Police Office, police said policemen discovered the corpse at 3:17 a.m. along Leon Guinto corner Quirino Avenue. Police said the victim, believed to be aged 35 to 40 years old, suffered gunshot wounds in the body. The barefooted victim, wearing a red shirt and light-colored shorts, had a yellow electrical wire and nylon knot tied around his neck. The lawmen noted that there was a cardboard sign attached to the victim’s neck, which read: “WAG TULARAN BASAG KOTSE AT HOLD-UPER AKO SUSUNOD NA KAYO!!” (Do not imitate me, I am a thief. You will be next.) Recovered from the crime scene were four fired cartridge cases, and a deformed slug of an unknown firearm. Police probers are still conducting an investigation to identify the victim and the perpetrators and determine the motive in the killing. |
