Peru: Kidnapped Miners Executed Inside Mineshaft
La Libertad, Pataz https://www.rumbominero.com/peru/not...eros-en-pataz/ Murder of 13 kidnapped miners in Pataz confirmed despite state of emergency Updated: May 4, 2025 Tragedy strikes the La Libertad region once again. The 13 miners kidnapped on April 26 in the Pataz district were found dead inside a mineshaft by Peruvian National Police (PNP) officers. The discovery, in conditions that indicated an act of extreme violence, shocked the community and generated a strong national reaction. According to the victims' families, the workers were allegedly shot dead. What's most alarming is that this crime occurred during the state of emergency in the province, a measure that includes the presence of police and military forces to combat insecurity and illegal mining. However, this strategy failed to prevent this massacre. Various human rights organizations and representatives of the mining sector have condemned the incident, demanding a firm government response to the rising violence in mining areas. The Poderosa mine, where the victims allegedly worked, had previously reported attacks, threats, and other criminal acts linked to illegal mining gangs. This new case reopens the debate on the effectiveness of the state of emergency as a tool for control and security. Meanwhile, the families of the deceased demand justice, protection, and concrete actions to prevent crimes like this from recurring in the Peruvian countryside. |

Oh that's pretty f***** up. At least they were smart enough to bring silence guns in there. The reverberation might have been pretty bad if they had brought unsuppressed weaponry

Shitty way to die as if there are any good ways. Dying in your sleep of natural causes maybe but sitting there with a blindfold waiting to be shot dead. People really suck. |

idk... sounds pretty suppressed to me. usually they make a pretty loud bang. i kept waiting for the bang and didnt hear it, thought they were torturing em with mock executions for the first few seconds.

Not suppressed... the mic couldnt recreate the level is all. And while I dont condone this, I at least recognize that the guy wanted to do it efficiently and painless as possible given his worry about angle and location. I can only assume.

Not suppressed. That's what a rifle sounds like underground, not the Hollywood shot echoing off the mountains and a ricochet sound after every shot. Don't believe me? Dig a two foot hole, stick the muzzle of your choice of rifles in and shoot. It will sound just like that. Brutal vid. |

All of South and Central America if fkkkkkup. Probably the government had their hands on it. All the putoticians are corrupt and want the simple minero to stop messing with their profits. Sad but true. Only the locals are to blame. Cocechan lo que siembran. |
