Murder of 13 kidnapped miners in Pataz confirmed despite state of emergency

Tragedy strikes the La Libertad region once again. The 13 miners kidnapped on April 26 in the Pataz district were found dead inside a mineshaft by Peruvian National Police (PNP) officers. The discovery, in conditions that indicated an act of extreme violence, shocked the community and generated a strong national reaction.

According to the victims' families, the workers were allegedly shot dead. What's most alarming is that this crime occurred during the state of emergency in the province, a measure that includes the presence of police and military forces to combat insecurity and illegal mining. idk... sounds pretty suppressed to me. usually they make a pretty loud bang. i kept waiting for the bang and didnt hear it, thought they were torturing em with mock executions for the first few seconds.
