That was more for comedic effect than anything. China's got a long and proud cultural history, being a source of great philosophy, medicine, martial arts, and so on. I'm sure there are lovely places in China — especially the tourist-friendly regions. But it's a huge country. After the Middle East and Latin America, most of the videos on DR seem to come from China.
