The evidence before us shows only that this man's response to being yelled at was to go into the house, get a firearm, empty it murdering his neighbors, go BACK into the house, get another firearm, then come back out and put a few more rounds in for good measure. Then shoot himself in the head.

I think I heard the male neighbour said something about his dead wife preferring hell to living with him. Then the shooter said “What?” and the male said “You heard me!”.

To me, this couple is not dissimilar from people who climb into a lion enclosure. There is a point for anyone to snap and lose all rationality. The man had already retreated to his home. Both of them continued yelling and taunting him at once, the guy was alone and the guns were the equalizer. He already had a mind to kill and silence them. The woman just told him what he was already wanting to do “Go ahead!”. Once he started shooting, he knew he had to finish it. Once he emptied his clip he knew it wasnt enough to kill them. He went back to get the AR to end them.

He told the woman “You should have kept your mouth shut” before finishing her with the AR. She could very well be still alive if she did. He didnt go amok and shoot anyone else despite there being other people around. He specifically killed these two people. The fact that the shooter later offed himself, meant that he later realized he fucked up and decided he will end things on his own his terms. Maybe he was content knowing he took these two people out and thinking he made the world a better place.

Dont know the history of these people, but the shooter’s property looked well kept and rather large. Based on info online about him, he wasnt some uneducated hick either. But based on the video conversation alone, it would be enough to set someone off into a primal rage episode.
