CCTV footage has been released showing a man pleading for help after his wife and child were killed in a traffic accident in India.

It shows his wife's body lying in the middle of the busy street, as people just walk by.

The victim's husband, identified by local media as Kanhaiyalal Raigher, said: "My son and I were shouting for help but no one stopped or came to our rescue.

"Passersby and several cars did stop to catch a glance but no one seemed to be bothered."

Mr Raigher and his four-year-old son survived the crash, but despite their desperate situation, passersby ignored them.

They were in 3 on a bike, in a tunnel in which the entry of two-wheelers is banned. Of course it's not a good reason to run them over with a truck, but the man has many faults.

i had a tragedy where a news reporter came to my home to talk about it about a week after the fact, and i was a lot more composed than when the actual tragedy happened... you can obviously see he's a wreck down in the street, and a bit more composed during the interview, as to be expected.
