Januari, footage shows a Pakistani migrant who was heading to Europe being brutally beaten after being abducted and held for ransom in Istanbul.

The man shown in the video is said to be one of six Pakistani citizens who were held by Afghan-Turk captors before being released by Turkish police on Wednesday.

The Pakistanis were travelling to Europe on a Turkish vessel when they were intercepted and abducted.

In the video a man who is believed to be one of the migrants is shown handcuffed and fearing for his life.

Horrific bloody gashes cover his back and a captor repeatedly grabs and punches his face as he begs for the abuse to stop.

The torture video was reportedly sent to the relatives of the captive men - named by Pakistani authorities as Afzal Ameen, Adil Ahmed, Muhammad Zeeshan, Abid, Usman Ali and Abshar Ahmed - in a bid to bribe money from them.

The captors demanded one million Pakistani rupee, £7,700, for each man.

Once they were rescued authorities then shared a video of the men sat around a table together tucking into a feast of food.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement: ‘The Turkish police authorities have confirmed to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Istanbul that after necessary action today, they have rescued the... six Pakistanis.

‘The Turkish authorities are now completing the legal formalities to deal with the case.

The Consulate officials are in contact with the police authorities and have sought access to the rescued Pakistanis.

It looks like they have been tortured over some period of time. The older wounds are starting to heal and form eschar over them and this is what makes the skin on their back and chests look so funky. If they ever catch the assholes who did this I think they should give the victims a chance to return the favor.
