I don't think he climbed up directly underneath the window but to the side of it, and used his flexibility to get one leg higher than where he is holding on. I used to climb up warehouse racking that way, go up the vertical and stretch my left leg up to the next level. Once you get a foot onto a horizontal bar, your leg is easily strong enough to pull all your body weight up.
