The bird had a bird's eye view, stalking the victim from a carefully selected vantage point—this, while knowing the mark's travel route and movements in advance.

It clearly planned ahead what it was about to do; waited patiently for the perfect moment, and then struck mercilessly—with deadly intent.

The bird didn't kill him. It was a glancing blow. What killed him was his inexperience or the inner bitch in him. Because he pulled his front brake way to hard, which took his front wheel out from under the bike and face planted him on the road at 30 or 40 mph.
