It won't be long before the U.S. will be forced to deal with it. The Taliban is breathing down on Islamabad and ready to topple the country. Once that happens the States will have no choice but to do something, I think.

Umm, I'm confused. Why does USA have to deal with Pakistani problems? Aren't there enough conflicts already? With the military resources stretched thin and spread all over the world, I don't think US can afford to send more troops and materiel to yet another endless fight.

The best thing they could do would be to withdraw useless bases from Japan and Europe and use those forces to put an end to at least one war. Although, I don't know if any of them even can be ended without a total annihilation of the population. But that's their problem.

Unfortunately, Pakistan has nuclear weapons, if they fall then the Taliban will have them. That makes this a huge situation and probably more important than any conflict the U.S. is currently embroiled in. I for one do not agree with a world police attitude, but I think we can all agree that nuclear weapons in the hands of the Taliban is a bad idea. Love all this debate going on by the way.
