Re: Out of Control Truck Tramples Pedestrians in India
A program was organized to remove the vow of Kanha Rathore's 4-year-old son. Some of his relatives had come from Ratlam and Dhar districts to participate in this. They were standing near the divider of the service lane on the Runija side and waiting for the bus to go back at 4.45 pm. Some people were sitting on the divider. Meanwhile, a truck full of buffaloes came at high speed from Ratlam side and broke the divider and reached the service lane trampling the people standing there. Due to which 7 people died while 11 people were injured. Some other passengers are also among the injured. After the accident, the injured were sent by ambulance to the district hospital. On the way, the fuel of an ambulance ran out near Salakhedi. Had to send another ambulance on this. The truck driver and the cleaner have been taken into custody and sent to Billabank police station. 6-year-old N. was also injured in the accident. She along with her brother, sister and father was returning from a 'Mannat' program in Satarunda. Father is no more. The children have not yet been told that the father has died. V. (20), K. (18) and N. (6) were admitted to the emergency ward of Ratlam district hospital. B, their father died on the spot in the accident. The children have not yet been informed of their father's death. They are repeatedly asking about their father. 6-year-old N. suffered serious injuries to her leg and waist. She is asking about her father again and again. People around are consoling her by saying that her father is admitted in another hospital. One and a half year old K. was also injured in the accident. Mother is also injured. The mother was taken to the hospital, but the child was released at the scene. Later the SP-Collector took the child to the district hospital and handed him over to his grandmother. After the accident, there was crying and chaos. The relatives who survived the accident were searching for their people among the injured lying below. In such a situation, the injured woman R. D. of Bangrod was rushed to the district hospital along with other injured. The injured children were crying for their mother in their grandmother's lap. Grandma used to caress them sometimes, and sometimes she was comforting the mother wishing her a speedy recovery. K. D. and S. D. of Ratlam's Ghoraghat village were returning home after finishing their wage work. Both are sister-in-law and sister-in-law in the relationship. Both these farmers had come to work at Paras Patidar's place. The farmer was going to drop both home by sitting on the bike, when the speeding truck hit the bike hard at the Satrunda intersection. Due to which all three died. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed condolences to the people killed in the accident. Along with wishing peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured, has announced compensation. He has announced Rs 2 lakh each for the dead and Rs 50,000 each for the injured. The intyersection remained a black spot for 12 years. Police, MPRDC and the administration tried several times to fix it, which was insufficient. The encroachment has not been completely removed from the intersection. Vehicles are parked in the service lane, due to which people pass through the forelane. Chauraha is the junction point of Ujjain Road and Fourlane. Due to this, thousands of people of 25 villages catch the bus every day. Despite this there is no bus stop. In such a situation, the passengers get on and off the bus by standing on the side of the front lane. |
