there's usually several ways to stop an out of control truck like that. you have a foot brake (sometimes a coke can might roll under there and fuck you up but then you go to option 2) you have a handbrake that will slow the truck down slightly, though won't stop it like the proper brakes. then you the "reverse thrust" option you change direction shifter and give it some gas. then on almost all plant equipment you have an emergency stop button. and if all else fails you switch the engine off and on most this locks the drive train up and engages the brakes, you'll get a sharp stop. 5 ways to stop a truck and the driver fucked all of them up ..  if he's not trained then maybe that's possible, if he is trained he should be charged with manslaughter. |
