One Man's Suicide Kills 11 in Russia
In Russia a man committed suicide by opening a cylinder with gas inside his apartment. He probably fell asleep, the apartment filled up with gas and it resulted in a large explosion which destroyed the lower stories. Passers-by rushed to help the people screaming under the debris. Within minutes the upper stories collapsed under their weight on the people trapped, and those tried to help. |

Just wondering if there was really a suicide or are they trying to cover up an inspection oversight. How do they even know that someone opened the gas slept and died. |

The failure mode is almost exactly like the Ronan Point Disaster of 1968. The collapse occurred in East London. Story sounds fishy, but if its true, then what a fucking asshole. Couldn't put a bullet in his head like a normal person, instead he had to take almost a dozen people with him, ruin countless other lives, and leave who knows how many people homeless.

Whatever happen to hanging or shooting yourself? Taking innocent people with you to the great beyond is even more selfish than suicide itself, if that is possible.
