I’ve heard that before and honestly it sounds like bro-science/old wives’ tale. Do you have a credible source documenting that tensing up = DEATH? I’ve seen in-car footage of stuntmen crashing cars, and they do tense up and a lot, and that is why they don’t get hurt. Perhaps “remaining lose (sic) and flexible” doesn’t mean not tensing up. It means taking the impact with technique, which can require tensing up but in an agile way, like a parachutist or wrestler.
