I didn't see any racism here. except for the derogatory names. but besides that those men let him die in peace with a brilliant commentary to boot. "didja see that?" |

Re: One Last Drink Before Blowing His Brains Out
Oh, so if I called a black guy a derogatory name due to his colour or ethnicity then that wouldn't be racist? If someone calls me a "Cracka" then they have said that because of the colour of my skin, ergo they are being racist. Should I walk you through it again? |

no, its racist to use derogatory names. read my comment again, I said there was nothing racist besides the derogatory names. means the derogatory names was racist. also I was being facetious about it being brilliant commentary. it was actually just amusing. |

Re: One Last Drink Before Blowing His Brains Out
Do crackers get offended by that term? Cracker seems so lighthearted compared to spic or n*****. But I guess it does ultimately originate on the color of crackers' skin. Regardless, I'm one of those that does not jump on every word that could be considered racist. Over time, they see it doesn't trigger you and it loses whatever power they think they had. Can I say those words here without getting banned? I've seen it so idk |

Re: One Last Drink Before Blowing His Brains Out
I lived in Florida for eight years. I had cracker friends. We would go on cracker camping trips and go cracker lake fishing on a cracker bass boat. They were proud to be crackers. All it means is a backwoods Southern boy. They say "erl" for "oil". They are all white, but it is not heard as a racist slur. I understand the term comes from their old habit of crackin' corn—distilling moonshine—but now that you mention it, Saltines are white.
