Re: One Killed when Locomotive Hits Workers Truck Laying Electricity Lines
When I was just a wee tot, we used to jump on the train car ladders to hitch a ride to the public swimming pool at the north end of town. About the time the train would start picking up speed while exiting town, we'd jump off as that was our stop near the pool. On the way back, we'd have to walk a bit toward town so we could jump on once the train's speed was slow enough to grab onto. After seeing all of these destructive train vids on DR, there's no fucking way I would do that again...or recommend anyone else try.

Re: One Killed when Locomotive Hits Workers Truck Laying Electricity Lines
Maybe that's the problem with kids these days. Too much DikTok and not enough train jumping. We didn't have a train near us so we would "skitch" on car bumpers while wearing inline trick skates. Most people hated us for it but surprisingly older ladies let us do it most often.
