Oncoming Car Fatally Hits 65 Year Old Woman Walking Next to the Road
India, A 65-year-old elderly woman, T.A.T, was struck with tremendous force by a speeding car. The woman was flung into the air, landed some distance away on the ground and died on the spot. She was walking along the roadside. At that very moment, a speeding car approached from the opposite direction and struck the woman with great force. The impact was so severe that the woman was catapulted into the air and crashed onto the ground several feet away. An object she was carrying on her head also fell onto the road. The local Police registered a criminal case and launched an official investigation into the incident. However, family members and village residents publicly criticized authorities, alleging that the police delayed formal complaint registrations and actions for days despite clear video evidence. Local community activists used the tragedy to demand bollard-protected pedestrian paths along highway sectors crossing through populated rural villages. |

Such an avoidable incident. Obviously the driver wasn’t paying attention or it was fully intentional. Either way it sucks for that poor lady. |

It would have been quite a feat to keep that object on her head. Makes me think of when you're drunk and you hold a bottle or glass. I remember once I was running drunk on rocks at the beach, I fell and everything went slo-mo, and the only thing important at that particular moment was saving the beer in my hand, at the expense of bodily integrity preservation |
