Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
first off fuck the dialog as she has obviously not been propperly introduced to a madman kill crazy mother fucking human being. second, the footage could be real idk. the 'pudgy hand' at the end is a thick rubber glove used by some commercial/industrial electricians- which lends at least some credence to this being authentic footage. again idk but ill add a star or two if i can nice post:)

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
That wasn't a swollen hand. It was a hand inside an insulated electrical glove. You see electricians wearing them when they have to work on mains lines. They're industrial strength designed to protect them from surges. In this case, I assume they were just taking precautions as there might still have been some current running around. |

Child molesters can get shot in the head AFTER they've had their entire genitalia ripped off with an iron claw. A simple bullet is just too generous.

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
Precisely. Electrocution was pretty much perfected by the 30's and not much has changed much since. His head would have been shaved and some wet sponge or electrically conductive pad would have to be placed between the skull electrode. The other main electrode would be on his leg and the very last connection performed before the button is pushed. They did put the drool and urine for effect. Have to give them credit for that part. His head would also have been covered. They want the witnesses to see someone executed, but not the gruesome effects. I call bullshit on this one. Another thing. The film is made to appear to be filmed at 16 frames per second and projected/telecined at 24fps. That's why old newsreels look jumpy. The guy is clearly in 1960's appearance or later as are the suits. By this time, any cinematographer would have filmed 16mm at 24 fps or 8mm/Super 8 at 18fps. If transfered, either would have been done in a film chain or telecine at their respected frame rates. Not enough info on the control room in the film. IIRC it's a 3 phase process at high and low voltage. |
