Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
not sure if this is real, could be. we dont have a death sentence here in austria, but i would greatly agree with it if there would be one. and i also think the guillotine is one of the best methods to execute. cheap, easy to handle, basicly no malfunction and you only need to sharpen the blade from time to time. i guess its even cheaper and more efficent then a bullet |

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
Not sure about that, but probably is somewhere. I saw it over thirty years ago as part of a class on capital punishment. If I remember correctly the bad guy was fairly heavy and the covered his face with a really thick leather mask. I know from talking to old correctional officers that actually performed electric chair executions that the bad guy burns and smokes quite a lot as well as smells awful. They said to a man that they were thankful when they moved to gas chamber executions.

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
Do you remember if it was shot in colour, by any chance? It's definitely a violent way to go, I can't imagine the smell. I assume it's a mix of blood, sweat and other body fluids mixed with charred flesh and ozone from the electricity.

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
Not sure if it was color footage or not. Maybe color...but real crappy old style porn color if that makes any sense. Yea...they do poop and pee themselves. If I'm remembering correctly, Ted Bundy was either electrocuted or gassed, but I think he was electrocuted and looked like shit in the post execution photos I saw.

Re: Oldschool Electric Chair
What is more humane; locking up an inmate for life, depriving his freedom in all kinds of ways (not to mention the physical and sexual abuse) or swiftly taking a prisoners life? Prison should function as a place for punishment as well as rehabilitation. If a person is locked up for life, what's the point of rehabilitation, and the waste of money going down the drain?
