I haven't ridden on a fair ride for over 23 years since the ride I had just ridden on at that time was shut down for 'maintenance'.

The article I read today said the guy who died which is one of the ppl u see falling off, was an 18 year old marine recruit.

There are 3 others who are in critical condition.

This happened to Freak Out a similar pendulum ride that killed four Spanish men a few years ago, a gondola broke off almost exactly the same way they don't make too many of those if at all anymore but I was shocked when I read this happened to Fireball, Fireball has a strong safety record. I have been a fan of pendulum rides at fairs for awhile now, by looking at the video the ride is VERY low and it looks like one of the gondolas makes contact with a railing at the base of the ride tearing it off this could have been caused by number of reasons. Looks like I'm taking a break from pendulum rides.

i've always been skeptical about the safety of these carnival rides. their workers alone tell much of the story
