Officer Involved Shooting in San Diego
On December 10, 2017, at about 0607 hours, officers received a radio call to respond to investigate a report of a possibly mentally ill person acting violently. The reporting party stated that she and her boyfriend had been awakened by a loud thud. Her boyfriend got up to see what the noise was and saw a man in the bushes outside their window. The caller then saw the male climb onto their front porch. She reported that her boyfriend went to the front door to ensure the security screen was locked and encountered the male at their front door. The male, later identified as “KZ” asked the boyfriend for a knife so he could kill himself. The caller’s boyfriend declined and told “KZ” that he should not try to kill himself. “KZ” left their front porch and walked south, after which the caller heard the sound of rocks being thrown onto the street. At about 0620 hours, Officer “JB” and Officer “JG” arrived on scene. When they arrived, the officers saw “KZ” on the hill in front of a residence. The officers parked, and as they exited their vehicle “KZ” started throwing bricks at them. Officer “SH” and Officer “RB” arrived on scene as “KZ” continued to throw bricks and Officer H personally saw one of the bricks hit Officer B’s police vehicle immediately after Officer B had exited the vehicle. As the officers prepared to contact “KZ”, who was positioned on significantly elevated yard, they lost sight of him. “Officer H” went to a neighboring yard so he could get a better visual on “KZ”. By doing this, “Officer H” was able to guide “Officer B” up a zig-zag walkway and into the front yard of the residence. When “Officer H” and “Officer B” reached the top of the hill and walked into the front yard of the residence, each of them saw “KZ” breaking a glass door leading into the residence. As the glass door to the residence shattered, “Officer B” and “Officer H” rapidly approached the location where they saw “KZ” enter the residence. When they arrived at the shattered glass door, “Officers B” and “H” entered the residence through the broken door and encountered “KZ”, who was standing in the kitchen. As “Officer B” was standing in the living room, facing the kitchen, he saw “KZ” hold a knife up to his own throat. “Officer B” gave “KZ” commands to put the knife down, but “KZ” refused and instead walked around a short partition wall. “KZ” lowered the knife and pointed it at “Officers B” and “H”. “KZ” then began to quickly advance on the officers. “Officer B”, who was armed with his department issued SWAT team 5.56 Caliber Daniels Defense AR-15 rifle, fired four rounds at “KZ”. “Officer H” fired one round from his bean bag shotgun. After being hit by the rounds, “KZ” fell to the ground on the living room floor. Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived. At approximately 0650 hours, “Dr. S” from UCSD Hospital pronounced “KZ” deceased. |

Re: Officer Involved Shooting in San Diego
Imagine the panic those poor residents must have felt Doc, awakened from sleep by multiple rounds of gunfire, to find a crackhead and 2 police officers crowded into that little space. Meanwhile a startled Father is just trying to ascertain as to whether their child, in a bedroom just off the kitchen in that chaotic scene, is alive, hurt, or slaughtered first by a knife wielding maniac who broke down the door a minute ago with a brick. What if, like a lot of young children, it is already awake by 6am and was standing in the kitchen trying to fix a bowl of cereal at the time this cretin breaks in ? Do we have a hostage situation, do we have a tragedy ? The police are heroes. They should have put one in his fucking head as well, not be forced to cut his shirt open and administer first aid. You forfeit your rights to participate in this world for one more minute, when you pull a stunt like that. But you watch the "civil rights" cretins emerge ........ |
