Off Duty Cop Shoots and Kills a Robber Brandishing a Fake Gun
Last Thursday evening an off duty Brazilian cop that stopped his car to answer an incoming phone call got surprised by a robber that pointed a gun at him. After the robber shouted down, down he stuck his gun in the left eye of the cop who then grabbed his .40 caliber pistol and fired two shots at the robber. The cop opened his car door and saw the robber pointing the gun back in his direction. So the cop made one more shot, killing the robber. The police report stated that the suspect used a replica gun.  The cop was released from the hospital after treatment for his injured eye. |

It's foolish to just shoot once. Don't give the 'bad guys' any kind of chance. Plenty of cops have been injured and/or killed by wounded bad guys. If you shoot, shoot to kill. Glad the officer is ok. |

Totally agree, in Melbourne Aussie, the cops are under orders that if they need to open fire, dont stop firing until the chamber is empty, good advice ! |

Even more cops have killed innocent civilians... ACAB. But in this case the cop had the right to kill him. |

What are you taking about?? All cops are just brutal ass holes that shoot people for fun...that was sarcasm;)...My father was a police officer for 25 years. I totally agree with you. That's why cops are trained to shoot right for the chest & unload their clip. Though they don't always do what the training has taught them because they DON'T WANT to kill someone, just incapacitate them. I appreciate your concern for the officer:). I too am glad he was OK & thought fast on his feet.
