I saw an article yesterday saying the fare was around $2.50, but damn. Was wondering if he was on drugs or alcohol given how uncoordinated he was, guessing every penny counts when you need it for a fix.
Yes, from his flailing, I gathered he was either drunk or high on something. I don't think money mattered much in this episode.
