Re: NY: Man Gunned Down in the Street

But actually cops and their pay have been cut so your statement is invalid. I bet you don’t think borders should exist am I right? Sure I am.
No they don't. The original poster is correct in saying you have literally no idea what you're talking about. The average salary for a police officer is about $54746 per year (don't know where you're from so convert that yourself), and in my city - which is the 3rd largest in the US - they can make well over 100k sometimes 200k. All of the salary information is publicly available since they're government careers. There is absolutely no reason why a police force should own a damn tank, or the multitude of other military grade weapons or gear. The idea is that these funds will be redirected to programs for better police training, mental health, healthcare, and preventing homelessness, which is desperately needed in Chicago as well as the rest of the US since they've shut down half of the free mental health clinics due to budget cuts. You know where all of these mentally ill people end up then? Cook County jail, of course. It's a vicious cycle in the sense that it consistently perpetuates crime, leading to senseless acts not far from this thread's own video.

You should probably know what you're talking about before you mindlessly insert yourself into another countries politics, especially when it's something with information as readily available as this.

Re: NY: Man Gunned Down in the Street

No matter how much funding or training the police have it wouldn't make any difference on crimes like these unless the police were already there. It's like saying if you paid the garbage man more there would be less litter in the streets... But it just doesn't work that way.

They defunded the police in my region. They made it so wrongful death and police misconduct settlements are no longer paid for by citizen paid tax money and a couple other things. It's been a good thing around here.

“Yeah let’s defund the police so people like Deshawn and Leroy here can keep on keeping on.”
That’s not what ‘defund the police’ means dear.

Front gunman has to keep racking the slide b4 each shot, shitty gun or ammo. Nice post
A weak shooting wrist does that. That's why the 2-hand grip is king.

Its the same story in every hood: you grow up with your group of cousins and nephews, and when you start to make it, if you dont take care of them, they will eventually take care of you. RIP MR C

Re: NY: Man Gunned Down in the Street

No one has defunded the police yet.. So they aren’t related. Besides their budget comes from the municipal level, not federal.
And by this time, numerous leftist controlled jurisdictions have actually, you know, DEFUNDED their police departments, Portland, San Francisco, et all, and the results were predictable. Couple that with no cash bail and we have an environment shifted in favor of criminal's safety at the expense of the innocent.
