if i am correct, the elevators are not supposed to close if the doors are blocked by anything, and the elevators are not supposed to go if the doors are full or partially open. not to mention how the car is packed from wall to wall

Elevators are supposed to have photoelectric sensors which prevent the doors from closing when a obstruction (human or otherwise) is present. I would guess the sensors either malfunctioned or weren't installed to begin with. If the latter then this incident isn't the first time Chinese manufacturers have eliminated critical components to save money and increase profits. |
