Great post! some of the folks criticizing the police action on this:

1) Didn't read (or can't read/comprehend above the 5th grade level) and note there was a report of an active shooter. That's what the police entered the scene expecting to deal with.
2) the most critical split second decision they have to make it their day to day lives is along the lines of "Do you want fries with that?"
3) Enter this dialog with a hard wired hatred of law enforcement. Are all police perfect? No, like any other population, there is the 10/80/10 rule. The percentages may vary occupation to occupation but some variant of this is true.

It’s easy to play Monday morning quarterback. The anti law enforcement rhetoric is costing many more lives than those who spew it think it saves since Leos now have to triple think their actions in scenarios where a split second can cost someones life. With that said…if if she were my daughter i would be asking for the officer’s head, sure. You are supposed to know the backstop of that bullet but this officer had no idea a 14 year old was hiding in that dressing room. No winners here but it is a plus the perp is no longer with us.
