This is not really fair, he wanted to die, he's going to be so pissed off when he comes out of a coma or whatever in 3 months and he realises how bad his life is now. Surely he can nod, a Dr. should quietly ask him " mate would you like me to give you an over dose of morphine?" Of course I know it's against the law and morals blah, blah but this man has a terrible life ahead of him now.

The humane thing to do in a situation like that would be euthanasia. But no, let's just prolong his suffering, shall we?
