Hardcore Buddhists believe it's all preordained. A fundamentalist Buddhist won't intervene to save a child from a burning building because they believe there is a karmic debt that is being paid, it is fate. But if you save the child, then they'll say you were an agent of fate and did not do it from your own free will |

Toss the parents in jail and the kid too in whatever kind of youth facility they put child offenders in. He can get out when he’s 18 and the parents can get their release around the same time. |
