Nine Dead As Speeding Car Ploughs Into Crowd at Accident Site
At least nine people were killed and around ten others injured when a speeding Jaguar car ploughed into a crowd gathered at an accident site on a bridge in Ahmedabad, in India's Gujarat state. Among the deceased was a police constable and a Home Guard auxiliary, or 'jawan', who reached the spot after the first accident of a collision involving two vehicles. The car driver, T.P., was thrashed by angry bystanders and was taken to hospital with injuries. Police will arrest him once doctors give the go-ahead. |

maybe he was distracted by the police car on the other side of the road and didn't see the dumb crowd walking on a pitch dark stretch of road in front of him untill the last second but then it's too late.
