Re: Nigerian Thieves Burned Alive
Nuclear war?? So how can a human do THAT to another?? Surely it's not just me that thinks Hiroshima and Nagasaki sucked big time?? Atomic bombs and radiation sickness don't really do it for me... Shocking that you're burned for stealing.... I sometimes don't know what's wrong with people... |

Re: Nigerian Thieves Burned Alive
I am not going to go to the racism stuff, but I will go after the gore purism part. (no offense fireflyguts, you put many great posts here.) The gore purist thing doesn't work for me. I see gore in my everyday life do to my job. I and my crew do what we can to save people. These situations put us in situations that would make most people crack. this site is voirism(sorry for the spelling had a few. LOL). We watch and believe we have an idea. Believe me I am guilty as charged when watching, But doing what I do I see it first hand. this makes me no closer to a purist. i think saying i am a purest because this happens and that happens, is a cop out. what we see here is human life at its purest and ugliest. no one is better or worse cause they watch it, and no one is more pure or less pure. (again fireflyguts I am not singling you out. You make a pure dedication to getting human life out there) just my two cents

Re: Nigerian Thieves Burned Alive
I guess what I was trying to express with my original post on being a gore purist, is that I try to not make judgements (or at least as few as possible) about the subjects in the videos we watch. I try to just watch the video for the subject matter, not to confirm preconcieved notions of the world around me like some of posters who make racist comments. And I don't feel singled out, you only mentioned me twice. No biggie. |

Re: Nigerian Thieves Burned Alive
And I totally agree about the voyeurism part, that is also where the purist bit comes in, I don't want to watch just any gore, I want to see something special. You know that feeling you got when you saw the Russian throat cut for the first time. Like that, not the oh yeah here's another accident aftermath tape. Am I making any sense? |
