Re: New York: Latino Actor Gunned Down
Well I’d argue with that last statement but if we’re going by national statistics it is very lopsided for certain demographics to commit certain crimes. Of course I know that’s al relative to certain conditions and situations but it still applies.

Re: New York: Latino Actor Gunned Down
A high ranking NYPD source said he was killed over a beef on social media and may have had gang ties which cops are still probing, Joseph Giacalone, an adjunct professor at John Jay College and a former NYPD sergeant said the killing appeared “personal.” “I have no doubt that (the victim) was targeted. The guy standing next to him could’ve easily been killed too, but wasn’t,” he said. The victim's mom, M. S, denied that her son was involved with a gang — but she said she always worried about his safety and warned him, “I don’t want you on the street” before he left home Friday to buy a cold drink on that scorching day. |

As Katt likes to say, life is short. For this guy, getting killed at 21, it really was short for him.

"Apple Jacks"--- haven't eaten that cereal since about 1984, didn't know they still made it. Years ago, a black man eating from a "Count Chocula" cereal box roller skated past me on Oak Street Beach in Chicago. |
