For this dude, "self defense" would've been to call 911 to treat those potentially fatal stab wounds. This wasn't a little pocket knife, dude was stabbed with a DRYWALL knife. That's all sorts of internal fucking up.

Cops see someone shooting into a car, they're not gonna ask questions, they're taking down the shooter.
