I was out with friends at a bar and this guy came up to us and wanted to play teams, to which we agreed. After the first game he wanted to put a ridiculous sum on the game, I think it was $1000. We declined but agreed to play for drinks instead. When we won, again, the guy was changing the rules on how much he would spend for the drinks and was trying to be a cheapass by not buying our choice in drinks but the cheapest beers. After several minutes of arguing ensued we would eventually get our drinks.

I left thinking 'wow, can you imagine what would have happened if we actually took the first bet?' Sure enough that idiot did the same thing to another group of guys who took the bet. Only this time they took the bet on the money and he refused to pay. They grabbed him outside of the bar and shot him in the alleyway, he died on the scene. Moral of the story: Don't make bets with strangers you can't afford to make.
