Re: Myanmar - Dude Beheaded by Junta Rebels
They’re Muslim. 50% percent of Muslims worldwide believe it’s totally fine to violently end someone’s life for simply becoming not-Muslim anymore. I can therefore a certain amount of separatist sentiment from the Buddhists. This is why modern national and international law should include mandatory recognition for a right to ‘national divorces’ when populations find close coexistence intolerable. A bloody civil war and associated atrocities shouldn’t be the norm for when two populations are deemed by one, or the other, as incompatible.

Re: Myanmar - Dude Beheaded by Junta Rebels
If you are willing to take the time to research more, you will discover that it was the Rohingya who started mass attacking police stations and the local population in their area. Rohyingas have actually instigated violence FIRST (numerous times). The response to their vicious Muslim attacks (yes, they are Muslim) was violence in return. The Muhammadans attacked the Myanmar population who are mostly Buddhist. The Buddhists got sick of their shenanigans over the years for the sporadic attacks. (Including the typical random surprise attacks, beheadings, and ackbar shouting.) So, the majority Buddhist nation retaliated. The Rohyingas are a stateless group of ethnics who don't even belong in the country but they have been "squatting" in their area for a couple hundred of years. Not to mention the purposeful relocation of nearby Bangladesh of their Rohyingya population in order to fuel religious conflict. The (Muslim) Rohyingas have been able to take the retaliation and attacks against them to the "liberal media" (and you know how they love propping up muzzies) and claim victimhood. They have obviously been successful with their propaganda since the worldwide population (including you) seems to think the Rohyinga are the hapless victims of Myanmar govt's forces. Anyway, read further and do more research if you are interested. |

Re: Myanmar - Dude Beheaded by Junta Rebels
Interesting.... so, how about considering this? Does the uniform make the soldier? Does wearing civilian clothes make one a spy? Also, consider what a spy does: gather intelligence, commit espionage, and assassinate (basically). On the other hand, a soldier is primarily used for combat situations and establish/hold areas of control. What role was that guy playing? |
