Do you think its easier or harder to rationalize the killing of someone who wants to HELP you? Many a politician and soldier has throughout history INDIRECTLY contributed to the death of their comrades by motivating (incentivizing) the "enemy" to kill them. By giving the insurgents death as only option you hence give them NOTHING TO LOSE. Surprised that the middle-east is plagued by suicide attacks? |

They believe in a higher cause in the eyes of their god. When Ghengis Khan rode against the arabs and asian empires he took from them everything and he made them feel fear, not just in life but death itself. A people who pride themselves on glory in the afterlife must have that glory taken away. Ive read of a story where one general buried 200 or so muslims that his army captured in pig skins. Little was heard in response. |
