Re: Multiple Vehicle and Truck Pile-up Accident and Fire, U.S.

I know some of those trucks gotta have road flares...why do I see none?!
How do you get to the road flares usually in the trunk area of a 4 wheeler or in a small compartment area if it’s a tractor, if/when 1). you might be possibly injured, 2). Your car is smashed worse than Lindsey Lohan so no telling how long it would take to retrieve the flares 3). If you aren’t injured and are actually capable of moving, why would you stand around searching for flares (a needle in a hay stack in a chaotic and stressful scene like this) and keep yourself in the direct line of all the incoming vehicles that keep piling on, when you should be exiting your death trap and running as far away as fuck all from the incoming death missile tractors and 4 wheelers…

If it was me, I would be saying fuck any type of flare, I am not going to play hero. If the drivers can’t see the massive fire they won’t see the flare so Darwin will just have to run it’s course; I’m not intervening

I understand the fight or flight response, and won't knock anyone for being a pussy unwilling to risk so much for strangers, but if I can do something to help, I will, and I've had to before.

When I said trucks, I really only meant the 18 wheelers. I'm under the impression they all have road kits that are easily accessible from the outside. So it wouldn't necessarily be a "needle in a haystack".

There were trucks that were already sandwiched between the cars, so the risk of getting to them seems minimal, but I acknowledge the fire being a significant factor to take into account. Of course there's a risk of getting injured or worse... so I understand why most people might not be willing to take that chance for some randos.

I must be reading this wrong or something. There’s no way someone actually replied to someone on this site with a good, quality response… normally it’s someone being racist or condescending… but always hostile. Lol. So appreciate your cordial”ish” response bc its a reasonable debate… I guess to me the chance to be a “hero” juice just isn’t worth the squeeze of me potentially dying. Lingering around the death zone just to look for something that most likely won’t even help and will end up being useless isn’t something I’d do. The only reason Id ever not immediately get as far away as I could, would be if I saw like a baby or young kid that I knew for sure I could help/save…. Teenager and adult strangers would at most get a wave from me. Especially w/. all the f’ed up Karen’s and people of todays society. I’d be the one to end up “saving” that one type of person that would sue me later or something bc I didn’t save them properly, that’s my luck…. Always need to remember how absolutely true that old “no good deed goes unpunished” saying is

My bad. Pretend I said the following in my original response:

- You're stupid.
- You probably think the accident was caused by bad weather but it was probably caused by an Asian person, because Asians cant drive. Me pointing this out makes me better than you.
- Fight me in real life.
