To the dicks always whinging about women screaming, it's part of our reptilian brain and is nearly uncontrollable. The purpose is to warn others that there is trouble and which direction it is coming from, not to be little bitches. Loud screaming is to protect nearby offspring and the creators of life, women. It's about preservation of the group, which makes perfect sense, right?

It's similar to why we all, men and women, cover our mouths when disturbed or frightened by something. It holds in our scent in and thus better hides us from danger. There are often reasons other than being stupid gashes. Thank you and goodnight.

Have you noticed that it was a foreign festival and everyone wants to film videos of the dead and record, but when this happens in the US you might get a couple people recording. Why is that? We see this all the time.

Actually there is one race that hardly videos when there is a tragedy…..:shrug

How many times does shit like this need to happen before festival organizers barrier egress and entry points to prevent a person from making a weapon out of a vehicle. This isn't complicated FFS, a couple of cars can effectively block the street.

Not sure if you know much about mental breakdowns but by definition they tend to include not really thinking straight and being able to make rational decisions like "maybe I shouldn't drive."

I live in Vancouver and this is an obvious tragedy. It's also very unfortunate to see the lack of help being provided by most of these bystanders. At least pull the people out from under the trailers. Do something.

Suspect in Vancouver festival attack ID’d as Kai-Ji Adam Lo, 30, after at least 11 killed, dozens more injured

The driver accused of fatally mowing down at least 11 festival attendees when he plowed through a crowd of people at a Vancouver block party Saturday was identified as local man Kai-Ji Adam Lo, authorities said Sunday night.

Lo, of Vancouver, is facing eight counts of second-degree murder so far after his alleged rampage at the Lapu Lapu Day festival – a celebration of the Filipino community – Saturday night.

The 30-year-old was arrested at the scene by authorities and was “known” to law enforcement and mental health care professionals before he allegedly carried out his deadly attack, Vancouver police said.

The alleged killer has a history of mental health problems and investigators believe the destructive driving was not terror-related, cops previously said.

On top of the fatalities, dozens more were injured as Lo allegedly rammed into the crowded party. The youngest fatal victim was just 5 years old.

“The charge assessment is ongoing and further charges are anticipated,” Vancouver police said.

There were no interactions between police and the alleged perp “immediately leading up to this event,” Vancouver Police Chief Steve Rai said Sunday.

“This is the darkest day in our city’s history,” he added.

Lo has appeared in court and will remain in custody, according to authorities.

The victims killed in the attack range from 5 to 65 years old.

The chaotic scene unfolded around 8 p.m. just as the block party was coming to a close and organizers started taking down barriers blocking off a street filled with hundreds of festival-goers.

Lo allegedly used the opening and raced down the street in a black SUV, plowing through the crowds and sending helpless victims flying.

“[He] just slammed the pedal down and rammed into hundreds of people,” festivalgoer Kris Pangilinan told CBC.

“It was like seeing a bowling ball hit — all the bowling pins and all the pins flying up in the air.”
