A corporal of the Military Police and a security guard of the Bank of Brazil were murdered, Monday morning (10), during a robbery attempt.

Eight men in a pickup truck arrived at the bank at around 9 am. The thugs fired their guns at the windows and hit one of three security guards.

The criminals were with .12 caliber guns and rifles.
The dead policeman is a corporal, stationed in Ipatinga, in the same region.

The bandits took 2 hostages - a guard who was shot and left for dead and his nephew, who was also a guard, was taken hostage and released at the end of the town street after the bandits fled.

The heavily armed criminals fled in a pickup truck, according to the first information, is a model Mitsubishi L200, black color. The police are trying to find them.

With the noise of the shots, the MP was alarmed and when they arrived at the door of the bank they were welcomed by gunfire. The corporal was shot in the head.

The corporal and the guard who was shot and left for dead were taken to the hospital, but they could not resist their injuries.

To me it looked like the MP was shot as the robbers were leaving, not upon arrival to the bank.
