A mototaxi driver was found dead with signs of torture in Manaus this afternoon. He was 27.

He had been missing since last Sunday 18th, when his house was invaded by a gang and he was beaten and dragged out and taken away.

According to the victim's brother, the attackers also stole a 50" TV, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle which has not yet been recovered.

There are two versions that would have motivated the brutal murder and one of them is that he would have been involved with a woman at home and that her husband, with the help of other individuals, kidnapped and killed him.


The second version is that the man had a personal feud with a drug dealer in that area and he had the help of accomplices to invade the house, attack, steal objects and carry out the kidnapping that had a cruel and fatal outcome.


The motorcycle taxi driver was tortured to death, according to the assessment of a criminal expert from the Investigation Department of the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), which will continue the investigation to identify the culprits.
